Phone charges but the home button and microphone do not work. I just installed a new battery. After reassembly, the home button and microphone are not working. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Is the phone charging? Headphones jack is working? Answer this first. Second, did you disconnect the lightning connector during the battery replacement? Did you nick something on the board, and/or did you pry at any time between the battery and the logic board, especially next to the charging port connector? Also tell us. Third, as a quick troubleshoot, disconnect the screen, disconnect both the battery connector and the lightning (charging dock) connectors. Clean the charging dock connector on the board using a cotton swab and 90%+ isopropyl alcohol, then reseat gently and make sure everything is connected properly. Test the phone again, is the mic working? is the phone charging? Is the home button now working?
I had the same problem after changing the back panel and the display. In my case I had to make 2 jumpers on the main board. 2 very tiny resistors were ripped off the main board. FL49 for microphone and FL5 for home button.
The blue marks represent the battery connector.
I had same problem that home button & microphone didn`t worked, so I followed the scheme and asked professional to jumper damaged filters. Issue was solved BUT another troubles occured: Accelrometers does not work anymore, so I am not able to switch camera or Safari to landscape. My iPhone does not ringing at speaker when I try to call there (but it is ringing on headphones). Guy who jumpered filters under microscope saw that few other SMD capacitors are also damaged, so now I am looking for scheme to describe their values so we can proceed another solution (if any available). Phone restore also did not help.

That’s it Ioan Florea! I had 6 parts(resistors and capacitors) ripped off and stuck to the insulation sticker. After a master soldered it back(for $17) all works again. Hooray! P.S. I’m pretty good with soldering iron, but this parts is too small! Without microscope I could nothing to do with it(and don’t advise to you). P.P.S. Don’t try to hook up the battery from side of charging and dock flex cable connectors!!! Correct way:
