I recently dropped my ipad and replaced the digitizer, at first I believed the first one I ordered was defective so I ordered another. I have plugged in everything correctly and the ipad still fails to let me control it through the touchscreen. It only responds to the home button, Any ideas on what the problem may be?
I would visually inspect the digitizer connectors on the logic board. They may have been damaged from the impact. Also check the surrounding components. Failing that, your device may have suffered some damage on the logic board itself (the digitizer, or Touch IC’s). If you haven’t already done so, follow this guide to trace your steps to insure you didn’t do anything wrong (like pinching the digitizer flex cable).
