My iPhone 5S isn’t charging after putting it back together. I’ve got two iPhones with this problem now, plugging them into the wall and they don’t charge. The power reaches the phone, but it does NOT charge the battery, staying on the same % indefinitely. What’s the fix? What have I done wrong? With my main phone, the temporary fix is hitting the bottom with my palm, then poof, magically charges again.. doesn’t make sense.
Were you trying to repair specific problems or where you just taking them apart for fun (and practice) :>)? If there was a specific problem, please let us know as that might give us a clue as to the root of your issue. You say the power is reaching the phone…are you using a USB Ammeter to determine this? This is fake charging and this could be caused by a damaged Tristar IC or by a missing or partially dislodged FL11 near the battery connector.
You should also double check the Lightning connector, especially if you removed it completely. It may have been damaged in the process.
