HI i have an iphone 6s that wont charge the battery when powered off. i tried another battery and it powers on and charges while phone is on. I’ve also tried disconnecting the battery and connecting the cable to see if device powers on. it doesn’t . i put the multi-meter across the terminals its only reading .5 v . the charging port works in another 6s . no signs of water damage and phone is updated to latest ios any ideas??
Not charging when powered off usually points to a bad Tristar (U2) charging chip on the logic board. Going to need micro-soldering done on the board to get that replaced. Look for a local reputable repair shop that does board-level repairs. They can replace the charging chip for you.
