Hi, I have a bit of an unusual one. I have an iPhone 5c that isn’t recognising the power cable when it’s powered off. If the phone is on everything works as normal, but if the phone is off, nothing. I have tried different batteries and charging port to see if they have any affect with no success. A bit of history, phone has had a screen replacement. No signs of moisture/water. Original owner said they had always the apple wall plug but had used 3rd party usb cables. My initial though is maybe a U2 ic but could do with some other input before I go down that path. Any and all ideas welcome, thanks in advance.

Well, that is a possibility. However, when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras. I’ll admit this sounds unusual. But, before going down the micro soldering path, try teplacing the Lightning dock.
