My daughter noticed the battery getting low, so she plugged in magsafe. The battery didn’t charge and the macbook died a few moments later, even though it was plugged in. Tested Magsafe on another macbook and it works. Replaced the magsafe board, but that made no difference. Replaced the battery and macbook booted up. But still didn’t charge. So once battery died, computer was dead again. Apple said logic board isn’t receiving power, and offered depot repair for $575. Anything else you think I should or could try? thanks.

First, that should be a level 1 Depot Repair with tax and shipping $371. Next, lets look at this program: https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro… I’d take it to an ASP instead of Apple and have it tested as this sounds like a logic board issue to me. The ASP has a financial incentive to help you while Apple does not. Did it ever exhibit any video issues at all?
