Chosen Solution
I bought two SSD hard drives from ifixit with the install kit. The install seemed to go without a hitch. I created a bootable usb drive with high sierra and the computer boots up but the two new drives do not show up to install the system on to, just the bootable usb flash drive. Any ideas? this is what i have
Run Disk Utility and format the drives GUID, Mac OS X journaled. You should now be able to install a system.
