So i decided to be a bad person and modify my iPhone. Note that this is not my first rodio with mods. This would actually be the 4th iPhone i install this mod on, and this is the first time ive had this issue. I installed a screen powered LED apple to fit into my iPhone 6 Plus and from the get go i attempted to power it on and it would not power on at all. ive unplugged the battery and plugged it back in and no dice. So i again unplugged the battery made sure the pins were good and plugged it back in. oddly this time the phone decides to power on so i closed it up made sure all screws were tight and went to use it but the phone again shut off and now its not powering back on or charging. I came to the conclusion that the battery may need to be replaced because i kind of bent it a little when lifting it out. but i want to know what you guys think.
There is a “trick” to taking out the battery without bending it. Check out the guide, specifically steps 19-25. However, if the pull tabs break, you then have to pry it out which can bend it out of shape. However, as long as the battery wasn’t damaged internally (it would swell like a microwave popcorn bag or explode in burst of flame), you can just flatten it out and put it back in. You should use double-sided adhesive to secure it in place. I will say that if you have any, and I mean ANY, doubts about it’s condition, then replace it! Now as for your phone, the first thing you need to do is go back to the original configuration and insure that the phone still works without this add-on. If it does, it probably just means what you bought is defective. If the phone doesn’t work properly, then the mod damaged the phone and you have to fix that first. @theimedic, among countless others, did this mod so he may have more insight.
