Hi, can I use NVMe SSD for iMAC 27" Late 2012? Is there a slot on mainboard for NVMe SSD? Do I need any adapter for this? If Yes, a product link would help Thanks
Yes you can add a blade SSD here’s the guide iMac Intel 27" EMC 2546 Blade SSD Replacement Here’s a good guide to review The Ultimate Guide to Apple’s Proprietary SSDs As far as what blade SSD will work, sadly the 2012 model interface only supports a custom mSATA blade drive. The newer PCIe/AHCI as well as the still faster PCIe/NVMe blade drives just won’t work in this system, sorry ;-{
