On the first time use, My Cuisinart GR-4N Griddler began smoking and created a slight odor. Is there an issue with the device? Are there any necessary replacements?
Sometimes cooking items do give of an odor the first time they are heated up. Sometimes a little contamination on the cooking surface. It’s kind a matter of where the smoke was coming from, inside or outside and if it smelled like wiring insulation burning. Please give us a better description of the symptoms and if it worked or not.
The Cuisinart Griddler GR- 4N cooking plates are nonstick surfaces and it is normal for nonstick surfaces have a smell and smoke a bit. Try cleaning the surfaces off and using it again it is unlikely there is a real issue with the device.
