On 2004 modle they no longer have the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail did they move it to the fuel pump in the gas tank or some other place on the 4.8 liter engine

@gbruce , Greg, Your assumption is correct, seems the regulator was removed in 2004 from the 4.8. The fuel pressure regulator is now a part of the fuel sender assembly and is considered non serviceable it maintains the correct fuel pressure to the fuel injection system. Fuel pump and sender assembly contains a reverse flow check valve and the fuel pressure regulator maintain fuel pressure in the fuel feed pipe and the fuel rail in order to prevent long cranking times.
