Hi, the on/off switch on my new Shure SM58S is quite loose. When I turn the mic on, the switch slides to the off position VERY easily. Is there a way to tighten it - or should I return it and hope the next mic is better? Thank you for any help!
Hi @jamie70lynn , If it is still within the manufacturer’s warranty period, I suggest that you return it for a replacement. If it is no longer in warranty, here’s a link to a video that shows how to replace the switch. I cannot find a replacement switch online, you may have better luck. You could always try contacting Shure and ask if the switch is even available as a spare part.
