Just cleaned the heat sync and reassembled the console but it (as it did before the cleaning) turns on, flashes a red dot, and the power supply light just turns orange again and it powers off. Please help

You should really remove the chips. Tin the pads. Reball the chips. I’m actually supposed to do this, for this model soon. I’ll see if I can make a video…on iFixit… Ok, so I still haven’t watched the first video. Pretty negligent of me. Here’s what you need. To reflow the chips.
