Hi, I have an Xbox One S which doesn’t output any video signal, even though it turns on. When I press the power button while it’s on, I do get the “shutdown” chime, but it doesn’t turn off (light stays on, fan keeps spinning). And when I hold Eject and Power to reset video settings before turning on, the light comes on after ~3sec but I dont hear any chime, and the console goes into the state I described before. I’ve replaced the HDMI controller (75DP159) but it didn’t change anything. And I know that the original one was perfectly functional. In short, I’m stuck here. Thanks for the help.
Okay, problem solved. Apparently the One S can sometimes do that when the hard drive is failing. Which is the case for me, I just needed to change the HDD. You can also test for this issue by plugging in a USB stick that has an LED. If the LED doesn’t light up, it seems to indicate that the console is trying to boot from the HDD but can’t and gets stuck in this state. So it doesn’t even load the USB stick.
