I have had this 2DS for about 4 years and I have experienced some issues before with it turning off by itself so when it happened this time I thought nothing of it. I had been playing Mario Cart 7 when the screen went black, I went to turn it on but the blue light indicating the device was on didn’t light up it only flickered dimly for a split second and turned off. I figured it ran out of battery so I went to plug it in. I attempted to charge it but about 10-30 sec. after plugging it in the charging indicator light turns off. I know it is not the cable as well after plugging it into my 3DS and it is charging fine.
Hi @chilly_frost , You said that you had a 3DS. Try swapping the batteries between the 3DS and the 2DS as they both use the same battery and check if the problem moves with the battery Here’s the ifixit Nintendo 2DS Battery Replacement guide and the ifixit Nintendo 3DS Battery Replacement guide that will help. If the battery is the problem, replacement batteries are available online. Just search for CTR-003 battery to get results for suppliers.
