Starts with the key sometimes but, wont take a jump. has a new battery a alternator
I’d take it to AutoZone for a free computer check first and see if they can diagnose the issue before spending any bucks.
Check the ignition switch and/or relay. If the relay is intermittent, the current will only be passed when it’s cool.
disconnect the positive battery cable while car is on if it shuts off the alternator is no good
