Chosen Solution
My optical drive was replaced fairly recently and worked fine up until a few days ago. It opens and closes fine via the eject key on the keyboard, but when I insert a CD and try to use an application like Toast or Jam, the CD is not recognized. I also tried a music CD via iTunes, same problem. Is there a diagnostic utility that might give me a clue? (Other than dismantling, checking connections, etc.)? Thanks, Edward
