Had my ps4 for about 3 years and it had never been cleaned. It stopped working, so I cleaned it and got it working. Now a new issue. I can hear the optic drive when I start the ps4, but the sensor is unresponsive and putting a disc to the slot gives me no response either. It’s very possible I broke something but I need to know what to get it fixed, and to have an idea on how much the repair cost will be.
Most likely either the drive cables are not plugged in properly or they were damaged when the bluray drive was unplugged.
