Will open and read CD’s. Rejects DVD’s. Can I clean somehow or do I have to replace the optical drive?
dvd module will read CD’s but not DVD’s is a problems similar to yours and it might help you to check it out. But to make a long story short (and If you had a PC I would be sure), you need a new combo drive. Again, just my 2 cents
Maybe a late answer(new here) but I had the same problem. Bough a cleaner cd and now it works again
