Lady Tech, Read through a lot of the old posts, this seemed most pertinent to our ice maker dripping or leaking , soft ice, and occasional freeze ups. I notice that this post was is 2018, can you tell me if there has been a fix or a kit, or a set of parts for this fix? Thank you,
@superk Ken, if you have a samsung French door model with an ice room , chances are you have a model in the class action suit. Its been a year or so since I haven’t been able to find any replacement parts for the ice maker or components in the iceroom -like the fan kit - other than used parts on eBay etc. The fan kit was so expensive that my customers wouldn’t buy it. I wasn’t encouraging it either. I never got a chance to see if the new fan kit solved the issue or not. Now, no one sells it. You can google the class action suit and check your model number with the models involved. As of today, there is nothing to be done. You might consider getting in the class action. No telling how long it will take to get this resolved. Good luck!
