Hi, I’m having issue with my Panasonic TX-L42E5E. After some minor water damage there is a vertical line which “grays” out part of the screen - it is always the same and always in the same position (on all possible input sources hdmi etc.. ). I have opened TV and cleaned power board because it looked somewhat burned ( i will attach the photos ). Tried to touch some of the ribbons when tv was on - no difference. I can easyily get power board and t con board for replacement however would like to ask experts if this might be the right thing to do :). Thank you for all suggestions.
Hi, Power board replaced nothing happened T-con board replaced nothing happened ;( When i tried to unplug/plug ribbon cables from tcon board (tv was on) the screen broke even more and did not go back ;/. So in the end i bought new tv :)
@lordoza the power board does look like it has some hot spots on there. I would use a multimeter and start checking the connector outputs against the voltages printed on the board. It is possibly an issue with the main board which receives it’s voltages from the power board. See if those are all present. Let us know what you find. Also elaborate on the water damage.
