14-year old electric dryer. Panel won’t light up when Start or any other button is pressed. Drum light is on when door is open. Tried unplugging and re-plugging in dryer after 15 minutes. Two years ago, I replaced Thermal Fuse and Heating Element (entire Thermal Cut Off Kit).
Hi @skirudder Seems like there may be a problem with the power supply to the console board (aka UI board- User Interface board] or the console board itself. Here’s the tech sheet for the dryer. Go to p.8 Test #6 Power Cube and follow the checks to hopefully find the problem. If it is determined that the the console board is the problem look for a part number on the board (maybe starts with WP as the dryer uses all Whirlpool parts) and then search online for the part number to find suppliers that suit you best.
