So i got an iphone 6s. Lately my 3d touch has become faulty as follows. Just a part on the lower end of the touchscreen doesnt recognise the pressure. The touchscreen works fine, just the pressure isnt recognised and just on a specific area. Sometimes i put a lot of pressure and starts to work but after i charge my phone it goes and i have to repeat the process. Again no problem whatsoever with the touchscreen. Any idea?

If you have tried all of Albert’s suggestions, then you likely have a defective screen. You can replace it yourself but don’t buy an inexpensive replacement as you may have problems with the 3D touch again. You’ll want to get a good quality replacement screen from a reputable vendor.

Before going furiously, make sure you have the 3D Touch turned on. These are basic troubleshooting that has already helped users to resolve the issue. You may try them out.

  1. Adjust 3D Touch sensitivity In order to change it, go to Settings → General → Accessibility → 3D Touch. Tap and drag the slider to Light or Medium according to your comfort level.
  2. Press and hold, don’t drag Make sure your finger doesn’t slip on the screen, which will result in tap and hold function and not 3D Touch. Press the app hard enough with still fingers and check if 3D touch is working.
  3. Reset all settings Resetting settings will not delete any of your data. It will just reset all the settings to factory state. Let me know if they work. Thank you!
