So my device boots up fine and all buttons work properly along with most of the touch screen, except when I go to enter a password the middle two keyboard lines are unresponsive to touch making it impossible to enter my password. I have wiped my cache partition but am still unable to get a response from part of the screen. Could this be an LCD problem or is this an unfixable hardware problem that will require a factory reset?

@ninamarie , Nina, If phone did not experience liquid or physical damage, unresponsive screen may either be caused by a glitch in the firmware or hardware and can be fixed by factory/hard reset according to the forum link #1 below. If after reset still not cooperating probable defective screen/digitizer or loose/bad plug/wire connection. Clean with a Qtip dampened min. 90% Isopropyl Alcohol and make sure all connections are seated well. You can use the links below to disassemble your device and clean the cable connections and reseat them to make good connection and try phone. Still a problem probable defective screen/digitizer replacement required. Link #3 is a replacement screen assy. which you can also do a search for better pricing perhaps. Good luck. The very bottom vof vscreenb not working for certain things… Space bar vworks vbutb not vreally, there’s double clicking and accepting, pressing bokay and changing the lock screen..

it is strange, my iPhone had dropped and half of touch screen doesn’t work. I changed the touch and screen, and new hardware didn’t work completely. I examined my broken touch and screen in other mobile and again half of it worked. is my motherboard damaged?? if yes why it works in half? if not why new touch and screen which I bought doesn’t work?

Can someone help me out. I just got an IPhone x second hand. But I can’t hit the letter a. It doesn’t respond q, caps lock, and number button doesn’t work either. Face id also quit after update.
