So I upgraded my RAM to 16GB 2x8GB 2666Mhz CL19 and the laptop turns on but the screen is blank

First re-install old RAM and Check that your BIOS is version F.29 Rev.A . If not upgrade from HP site.https://support.hp.com/Check that the RAM make, model, etc. is compatible with your laptop such as: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgra… or https://www.kingstonmemoryshop.co.uk/lap… etc. Let us know what you find.
