Hello everyone. I finished my new desktop PC build and gave it a first run. When I turned it onn, the two case fans, the cpu cooler and the GPU’s fans spin max and light up. No POST, no picture. It’s interesting that when i hold the power button, it turns off. With my previous build i had this problem for awhile, but in that case when i did hold the power button, nothing happened so i had to turn off the power supply. But i dodnt remember how i fixed it.I wonder what might be the cause, I am wororied thhat my mothrboard or CPU might be faulty. Or the power supply? Any suggestions how to fix it, before I take it to a technician? specs: CPU: Ryzen 3 1200 RAM: 4GB DDR4 2666mhz GPU: Radeon HD 5770 350W PSU mobo: A320M-A PRO MAX
Hi, Things to check: Connect a system speaker (example only) to the JFP2 header pins (see p.11 of the user manual and check for any beep error codes that may be heard.Check the PSU voltages are all OK by doing the paper clip testCheck that the memory module (assuming only 1) is inserted in DIMMB1 slot. (see p.8 of the manual)Looking online it appears that the PSU needs to be at least 450W+ for the GPU card to function correctly, with a 6 pin power connection from the PSU to the Radeon HP5770 GPU card. The power supply from the PCI slot is not enough. Hopefully if you get it going you will have more than 4GB memory installed? Win 10 needs at least 8GB of memory for reasonable performance
Had the same problem with my build, you have to download the latest bios for your motherboard.
