Currently whenever I call people on the phone, they can only hear me if I put my phone on speaker phone. Is this an ic issue or can it be fixed by replacing the front earpiece?

Being an iPhone 7 I’d say Audio IC, but being a big repair I’d like to have some other symptom before getting into it. Try and check all other sound related functions, including voice memos recording and playback. If you have no other evidence I’d replace the front microphone flex assembly to start with.
