I had my phone battery replaced today because for a while it had been draining fast and it said it was at 78% performance and I should have it serviced. Since I got it back, it says 100% peak performance, but the battery is draining faster than it ever used to. I was surfing the internet as usual, no videos playing no images, just reading on websites I frequently use, and I watched the battery go from 75 to 35 in one hour. This never happened before. Bluetooth off, WiFi on and connected, full brightness (as usual), and nothing out of the ordinary (also no other apps on). What’s going on?
If the new battery is draining a lot faster than the old one it is probably a bad battery but I do see this on some new batteries and calibrating them sometimes fixes the problem. I would suggest leaving it to charge overnight than run it down to it switches off than leave it to charge up again. If it is still draining quickly I would return the battery for a replacement.
