I got my phone fixed and randomly the screen turned black. I did not drop the phone. I searched it up online and there was a forum that instructed me to plug it in to my PC, open up iTunes, and I did as told but my iPhone 6 is still unresponsive. I tried pressing the home and power button at he same time and that didn’t work. The lcd isn’t broken. I took it back to where I got it fixed and they said they they can’t fix it and it cost $200 to get it fixed somewhere else because the backlight is Broken and something about the motherboard. I don’t understand how after they fixed my phone it could just stop working. I got my phone fixed before and I didn’t have this problem after it got fixed. Could they have did something wrong ? What should I do? I don’t have $200 right now.
Go to step 18 to reseat the cables (make sure you unplug battery BEFORE unplugging any other ribbon / flex cables): iPhone 6 Screen Replacement Personally I use razor blades to pry the screen (between plastic and metal iPhone housing) open from the sides then lift up starting from the bottom to the top as the screens are hooked / anchored by the top clip of the screen housing and iPhone housing. I don’t trust suction cups as they pose a risk of damaging the screen if it separates from the screen frame. Holding home and power button for 8-10 seconds may get it working again or reseating cables.
