Hello i tried alot of methods to get my galaxy s5 to charge or connect via usb to computer but the usb connector is non responsive. It is a galaxy s5 g900A and the charger used to work before i replaced the housing of the phone. The weird part is the buttons at the bottom of the screen work fine and light up along with the home button which are both on the same board as the charger, both work perfectly. Even after replacing the charging port board the usb still doesn’t work. I have restored the phone and it is on 4.4.4 firmware with no updates. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thank you!
It’s either bad charger, bad battery or you lucked out and got a bad charging port. Use a multimeter to check charger, new charging port. If none of those test bad and you are sure it’s not the battery, it would be board level repair
