Chosen Solution
So I replaced the charging port about 3 months ago and then earlier last week the phone stopped charging. I have realized that the phone still charges when off but does not indicate charging when on. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
On the iPhone 8 this is usually caused by a faulty charge port, Hydra IC or both as a faulty charge port could have damaged Hydra. I would try another charge port first.
