I was having problems with shortened battery life on my iPhone 3GS, so I bought the 3GS battery replacement kit, followed the instructions, and completed the replacement without any significant trouble. After turning on the phone, it initially seemed to work OK. However, after plugging it in to charge, the “battery fully charged” icon appeared while the level indicator remained stuck at 70%. The phone also began crashing and restarted itself every few minutes. After a couple soft/hard resets, the indicator now reads 12% (which I assume is more accurate), but it still crashes and restarts every 5 minutes or so while plugged in to charge, and still shows the “charged” rather than “charging” icon. Leaving the phone plugged in (with numerous reboots occuring) also does not seem to increase the charge level. Thoughts? Thank you, -Mike
