I can’t find anything like this online so I’m resorting to this. My iPhone 5 is running ios10. When using it it randomly crashes and goes into a restart loop until I plug it in or the battery dies. Sometimes it stops on the lock screen but starts again if I unlock it or the screen turns off or open the camera. This happens randomly but certain things make it happen. It is never for sure but namely opening Snapchat, watching videos on YouTube or Safari, taking a picture and many other things make it happen. I’m absolutely stumped and am beyond frustrated. The battery is not the issue as it’s happened with three different ones immediately after replacement. Please I’m at my wits end someone help me fix this.
First, if you haven’t already done this, I would do a complete backup of your phone with iTunes. Then I would proceed to do a full DFU restore of the device. That will completely wipe your device and install a new, freshly downloaded version of iOS. I would then test it with with only the basic apps for a day or two to be certain that the phone is behaving properly. Once that is confirmed, you can either install your apps one at a time to see if they cause issues or do a full restore from your backup.
