Hello guys, A day ago I got my screen replaced and the proximity sensor seems to work because the auto brightness works but it doesn’t turn off the screen during calls. It’s not a software bug or anything because it was working fine before the screen change and I tired to restart the phone multiple times.
The issue is that the proximity sensor is damaged on the front camera ribbon flex. Auto brightness actually uses a different sensor, this one is called the ambient light sensor, the proximity sensor is used to make the screen turn off during calls as you know and nothing else. I recommend taking it back to where you got it repaired from, chances are they damaged the flex during the screen replacement.
I had this problem in A6 Plus and simply just updated the OS it works fine it looks it is an issue in one of the installed versions of the OS
