Hi, my phone, an LG G5 and my girlfriends iPhone 6S got both soaked in the bottom of a backpack which was not waterproof riding bike during heavy rain, a small pool formed in the bottom where both phones were. I dissassembled my entire phone, put board on the oven at about 215°F for like 10-15 min, it worked perfectly, only has some water inside screen now, can be seen when screen is white, BUT my girlfriend was skeptical about me opening her phone, she just put it in rice for a day, no improvement at all, got even worse, screen flickering, didnt turn on, etc She finally let me open it, ofc it still had water inside, I think we all know the rice method is useless. I dried all parts, put board on oven at 200°F just like 10 mins. When I finished reassembling it I try to turn it on, it showed the “no battery, please charge logo” for like a second and disappeared, plugged it to charger and showed the charging screen very quick, less than a second and dissappeared. It doesnt do anything else. If I try to turn on again, wont show anything After some hours of leaving it rest, if I plug it again it might show the charging screen for less than a second and dissappear again. Do you think I should change the battery or the charging board? Tyvm!

Nevermind, it turned out it is fine, it was the screen who was struggling to turn on, we discovered the phone was on, it turns on and everything, just didnt show anything in screen, it was black but we called it and it rang and vibrated, after fiddling with it the screen turned on good, just has a ton of water inside, fortunately it doesnt flicker or have any stipes or similar, it does have like light , We’ll put both phones under the sun to see if the water inside the screens receeds a bit. Thank you all

first off rice is useless, secondly do not put a board in the oven to dry out it can make the damage worse. i dont think a battery or new charge port will work some how
