i got my phone wet i let it dry several weeks then took it apart cleaned the motherboaed and replaced the battery then put it back together and let it charge but it still will not come on , i connected it to my pc and the only way it will recognize the phone is if i continue to hold power button in ,what do i need to do ? thanks in advance
Rebecca when you cleaned the motherboard did you remove the heat shields . If your using IP alcohol to clean then you do need to remove the heat shields . if you remove the motherboard and put it in an ultra sonic bath with distilled water and a cleaning solution hen you may be able to clean the board without removing the heat shields . If you are getting some joy by holding down the power button then I would do a more thorough cleaning where the power buttons connect to the motherboard. Hope this helps
If water has gotten into the phone and onto the mainboard there is always the possibility that it has destroyed the electronic components. If you have dried everything and looked for dirt or corrosion and removed it. Then I think there is not much more you could do. My recommendation is to take the phone apart directly then it can dry much faster and you can see where the phone got wet.
