I have the same problem, my phone just decided to go all black on me two nights ago. Took it to a shop they said its not possible to fix. What do I need to buy to fix this issue?
Ideally, you should give us more details on what happened before it went all black and any more details the shop gave you. That said, I interpret what you do say as the shop telling you a screen replacement will not solve the problem, hence a logic board issue. It could be water damaged or the backlight circuit could be damaged. It could also be related to the charging circuit…anything really. Assuming that is what the shop meant, then there is nothing you can really buy to fix it unless you have the proper tools, experience and skills to troubleshoot a logic board. An iphone 6 is certainly worth fixing so look for a shop that does micro-soldering repairs.
