Dear friends, I recently replaced the charging port on my dad’s iPhone 7. I did it successfully, or so I thought. I put it all back together then plugged it in to see if it worked, and it was stuck in an infinite boot loop. I let it sit for a day as I got busy with school and the like, came back to it, and now nothing. Note that it has been plugged in this whole time as well. Just to be sure, I took it all apart again (to replace this piece, everything but the battery must come out, it’s a pain, but so is apple) then put it back together and plugged it in for a day and still nothing. I have really no clue what’s wrong at this point. Any help would greatly be appreciated!! Thanks in advance! -Charlie Update (01/09/2020)

There does not appear to be any damage, take a look at the picture. I do not have a very well trained eye, so I could be wrong. I’m really confused at all this, apple does things so weirdly. They hate people repairing their devices it seems.

This could be caused by a faulty replacement part. Order another one, preferably from a solid vendor like iFixit and test again. Otherwise, you may have caused some accidental damage during your repair. Check the connector on the logic board to see if there is any damage.
