Chosen Solution
Hi guys and girls, My phone has been randomly going black (but not turning off) when I use certain apps (Tinder, Google Translate, and Nirvana, for example), but when I use other high usage apps like Google Maps it doesn’t turn off. Also, starting at the same time as this problem, there are many times when I press the side button to activate my phone (it’s already on by this point) and I see the screen faintly brighten but stay black. Then when I reclick the side button it darkens again. And so I repeatedly hit the side button (usually about 4-10 clicks) until it eventually activates. Lately there have been times when clicking the button doesn’t even faintly brighten the screen no matter how many clicks, so I set my phone aside for a few minutes (summon some patience) and then try it again, at which point it almost always works. I replaced the battery and it didn’t help the problem so I got a refund. The tech suggested it’s a screen issue. Another source suggested the motherboard…. Thoughts? Thanks!
Screen. I’d get that changed since another battery has already been tried. If the screen is separating from the screen plastic bezel or pushing at the top right remedy’s the problem definitely get it changed.
