Replaced my screen and now when I call someone or someone calls me I can’t hear them and the phone restarts. Also I can’t answer the phone

Let’s try a force restart, if that doesn’t take, then let’s try backing up the phone, delete and restore to the backup. If the problem persists, put the phone into dfu mode, and restore to the backup. If the problem continues, then come back, and we’ll try something else How to force restart the iPhone 7 Plus Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable. Turn off the device. Hold the Power button for 3 seconds. Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds. Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button. More items…

I solved that problem by changing ear speaker flex and ear speaker too.

Fixed by replacing the ear piece/camera flex cable for me as well. I was a little rough on the original cable where the square double sided tape.

I have the same issue. Does the phone reboot if the call is going over Bluetooth? That has been my only other difference.

I am having the same issue when trying to place a call with the replacement scree, now with the cracked screen as well that was put back in place.

I have Android when i shut my phone off when i re start the phone while it is rebooting it rings four full rings .When that happens it will tell me i have a new voice mail of course there is nothingin VM.

I have the same issue but my phone doesn’t restart if I’m on it . Only when my phone is being left alone, it starts restarting

Had the very same issue. Fixed my iPhone 7 Plus by replacing the flex cable/front camera assembly/earpiece. No visible damage on the flex cable so not sure whether it was the flex cable that was damaged or just faulty hardware.

I solved my problem after taking the camera and speaker back off and resetting the flex ribbon cable. I think the gold contacts weren’t making a good connection. I would take a good look at the ribbon cable and be sure you seated it correctly. Maybe clean the gold contacts. And reseat the speaker securely. Every few minutes this iPhone shut off on its own and if you placed a call it would reboot. I’m only assuming that poor placement or dirty contacts are the reason it reboots. Maybe the OS did the reboot to prevent damage if there was a short. I really recommen you take a second look at the ribbon cable and possible poor connection in this area.

Disconnected the front camera assembly and it worked for me. Cool. Thanks man. I was tripping that I had a baseband problem I don’t feel like f-ing with.
