My 2 year old got a hold of my phone and gave it the tomahawk treatment into the wall. It seems to work for a few minutes then will turn off by its self. Then boot back up on its own , this process keeps happening till I manually turn it off. I’m thinking it has something to do with hardware. If anyone knows what could cause this i can work on it i just have no idea where to start thanks!

I doubt this is an Audio IC failure because your symptoms point more towards a deeper, boot level failure. The Audio IC failure is fairly specific in nature and only affects the audio circuitry and causes longer than normal boot times. That said, I would certainly do the Audio IC repair as well because with this kind of sustained damage, the Audio IC will likely fail sooner or later. You will need to have this phone looked at by an experienced micro-solderer to properly troubleshoot the issue.

It’s board level repair. The audio IC chip has gone bad and it may have caused it to bootloop.
