Ok so I have a white iPhone 6 passed down through the family. Before I received it, it had a cracked screen so the screen got replaced. However when I got it, the screen had blue/white bars going down on the right side of the screen and would get more noticeable depending on I believe the operating temperature of the phone. In addition sometimes, the touch screen would freak out and open up random apps. So I got the essential electronic repair kit from ifixit in order to try and fix the issue. I first tried to see if one of the connectors wasn’t fully plugged in which wasn’t the case. Then I and somebody else tried using rubbing alcohol I believe, on a piece of cloth to clean up any potential dust on the connectors. That ended up fixing the white/blue bar issue. However, the glitchy touch screen remained and the screen’s backlight malfunctioned and currently can only deliver a minimal amount of backlight(Like 1/3 brightness at max). What I want to do now is buy another replacement screen to see if that will fix all the problems. However I am not sure whether the problem is with the screen connectors or the ports on the main body?

The 30% backlight issue is usually logic board related. However, seeing as how all of this occurred after the screen replacement, I would suspect a defective or poor quality screen first. Is the original, cracked screen still available? If so, I would install it to see if the problems go away. That would confirm or not if the issue is screen related or logic board related. If the original screen shows the same symptoms, then your device will require a micro-soldering repair and it is not a DIY fix.
