I had an iPhone 6 that was dropped in water. I had no hopes of it ever working but after drying it out, taking the logic board out, and cleaning all corrosion, it powered back on like new! However, the home button was unresponsive because I forgot to clean the contacts for that specific part. I powered down the phone and cleaned the home button contacts. When I tried to power the phone back on, it was completely unresponsive. What could have possibly went wrong after messing with the home button to cause the whole phone to stop working? I tried a hard reset and iTunes will not recognize my phone. I checked the battery terminals and everything looked ok. Is the battery maybe bad? Any suggestions would be great!

Hey Eddie, it could be a possibility that your battery is dead. I’d recommend that you dis assemble the phone and clean the device with 99% isopropyl alcohol and clean it with a soft brush just like this guide shows. If it still doesn’t work, replace the battery, it may have gone faulty. -Let me know how it goes.
