Chosen Solution

Hi there, I have replaced my screen with a certified repair centre in the UK (currently not there and can’t go and give it back to them for a proper fix as of yet) a few months ago. Long story short, it started to flicker and and then completely go dark screen on me, however a simple touch of the power button to lock the screen on/off would solve this and it will come on again for a few minutes and back to square one… I have tried all the little trick and at the end completely reseted my phone to factory settings and that did not help either. I think the problem is within the phone’s hardware. I have been reading quite a lot on this web-site but most of the problems people face is with the screen being completely off/black but mine goes back on but constantly having to lock and unlock your phone just to use it for the next 30 or so seconds is a pain in the arse. When I used to have the old screen this issue was not there, and just to add I have a little bend on the iPhone near the volume up/down buttons. I would appreciate any help I get on this, if you need more info please don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks in advance. Regards, Elias

A bending of the housing is never good news for the logic board. Did this bend occur after your repair or what is already bent with the old screen? It could be bad connections, cracked flexes or the LCD driver circuit on the logic board. Unless you plan on ordering parts to troubleshoot, I would find a way to get it back to the shop so that they can verify their work and parts.
