Yes, your display assembly is likely damaged. To be sure you’ll need to try an external display to see if it works and/or inspect the LVDS connector reference this guide MacBook Air 13" Early 2015 Display Assembly Replacement. Follow the guides first three steps disconnecting the battery. Then jump down to Steps 19 & 20 disconnecting the LVDS cable. Now inspect the logic board connector making sure you don’t see any corrosion on the solder joints and the connector.
