Chosen Solution
Reassembling the 4S I found this finger. It has some plastic insulation on it. It is brass/copper on the rear and is 5mm in size. I cannot however find it pictured in the guide. It does not look like the insulator between the Dock connector. I need to locate where it goes if possible. Thanks.
This fits on the battery terminal - top of the 2 screws, under the battery and screw but on top of the Mainboard.
Yea that is the ground on the battery Look at the teardown guide for that phone it shows you where to place it
