Hello, its me again… Recently I put a Samsung PM981 nvme with a sintech ngff m2 adapter into my imac14,2 (27” late 2013), and now Ive got issues with installing macOS on it. When I try to install, my iMac crashes, and I get this Error: https://pastebin.com/b2RQCEJv . Sorry, I just don’t want proprietary hardware into my Mac since its just really expensive.
There’s a reason you put parts into a Mac that are made for it. They work and the others do not. Live with it.
Actually I tested the PM981 as well and it shows the same issues. I would recommend the PM961 as I have installed multiple of these in any Imac of the 2015/2017/2019 year and they work perfectly. And they are cheaper as well than the PM981. Here in Europe these PM961’s sell for around EUR 100,- a piece.
