Hello there, I’ve started refurbishing and repairing various smartphones like iPhones, Galaxys, LGs, Huaweis etc… and I was looking for an answer to this question: Are the polarizer films the same for every smartphones (inches apart)? For example: can I put an iPhone 6 PLUS polarizer on a iPhone 5 LCD (by cutting it with a sharp knife or a scalpel)? By doing this we (refurbishers) could buy a package of 50 or 100 polarizer films for iphone 6 plus and apply them onto smaller screens. Waiting for your answer. Regards Roberto from Italy
Hi Roberto, Different phone has different polorizer film. Like iPhone 5/6/6+, their polarizers are made by different matierials, and cut in different angle.
Hi! i had the same idea i ordered note 2 polarizer and cuted them to fit on galaxy s4 but they are not the same you can see a difference right away
Hi, thanks for your testimonial. So basically if during the refurbishment of an LCD we would like to change the polarizer because it’s damaged or to clean off the glue faster we MUST purchase the film suited for every model (s4 for s4 s5 for s5 etc…) That’s strange though….
Hello. I start the refurbishing lcds but because a mistake i have take off a polarizer from a S4 and i cant place a new one. Anyone can do it for me? Thanks
