I recently changed the screen on 2 Motorola Moto X pure edition, Because it was cracked but after replacement the power button doesn’t work anymore. I wonder if that could be a defect on the screen I bought. Or if I did something wrong. I followed a online guide changing everything. And Both screen bought from the same seller won’t power on. It does light up when I charge just not able to tun it on. what do I have to do ?
I had the same problem - my power and volume buttons stopped working after replacing the battery. Refer to step 8 here, specifically the 2nd screenshot (2 of 3). I had to reseat my power/volume flex - I did not have to reseat the connector to the board. The 2nd screenshot shows a cable that could have come loose. Mine was glued down and taped, but had still come loose (probably while heating the phone up to take the back plate off). I used long thin pliers to peal the clear tape, reseat the flex, and put the tape back on again. The phone works great now!
there is a small rubber cover on the upper left hand side of the back plate after you close the phone back up. If you remove the cover it exposes a ribbon cable and connector the you can push to connect back to the main board. There is another one near the bottom for the same purpose to connect the battery. I found and reconnected the one near the bottom but I missed the connector in the top left. The phone exhibited similar behavior: screen lights up when plugged in but power button doesn’t respond. Hopefully that is also your issue. Hope that helps. Connector locations
