Is replacing the complete assembly of the power button will solve the problem?
Yes and no, an aftermarket button will restore the return to home function but not the touch ID that can be restored only by Apple service with the suitable pairing device.
The power button is not paired so changing it if it’s broken should fix the issue… u can always get a new button and just plug it in to try it without fully fitting the flex :) The home button is paired to the device changing it will give u the button back but not touchid :)
